Zack Snyder vs Joss Whedon: Who does Justice League really belong to?
When it was announced that Zack Snyder was going to have to leave the Justice League movie, with the film already well into shooting, it was always going to be interesting to see what was going to happen with the film. It was not too long before it was confirmed that Joss Whedon had been brought on board and that he was going to do some reshoots for some of the scenes in Justice League.
This led to many people suggesting that the Justice League movie was going to slowly move away from being a Zack Snyder film with that usual Zack Snyder feel and was going to become much more of a Joss Whedon movie with a much lighter tone to it. Well, if there is one person who knows exactly what we can all expect from the Justice League movie, then it is producer Charles Roven, who has been talking about who the Justice League movie really belongs to.
He explained, "The goal is to make sure when you’re watching the movie, it all feels cohesive. That imprint that Joss had, some aspect of it is going to come out in the direction, but the actors are already pretty much down the road on their arcs. Let’s just say 80, 85 percent of the movie is what was originally shot. There’s only so much you can do with other 15, 20 percent of the movie."
So there you have it. Those of you who were worried that we were going to get a disjointed feel to the Justice League movie need not worry, as it seems that we are still getting the original vision from Zack Snyder and that we are not exactly going to feel too much Joss Whedon in the film.
