Thierry Henry to inspire Danny Welbeck to Arsenal greatness

While Arsenal fans had to endure many seasons of going without a trophy, before finally winning the FA Cup last season, they never had to go through what the Manchester United fans are going through at the moment. Manchester United are going through a huge transition period at the moment, with many players coming in and out of the club over the Summer.

One of the players to leave Old Trafford was England international Danny Welbeck, with the striker heading to rivals Arsenal in a deal that shocked a lot of people. While there have been some fans who claim they are glad to see the back of Danny Welbeck, there seem to be plenty more who feel that it was a bad move on Manchester United's part.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is delighted to have signed Danny Welbeck and has been singing the praises of the young star, claiming that he scores for fun in training, making it look easy. Arsene says that Danny Welbeck has the potential to become a great player for Arsenal, especially if he takes inspiration from Arsenal legend Thierry Henry, who is the clubs all time leading goalscorer.

When Thierry Henry joined Arsenal, he was known more for playing out wide than through the middle, much like Danny Welbeck at Manchester United. Arsene Wenger helped develop Thierry Henry into one of the greatest strikers to ever grace the English Premier League and now hopes that he can do the same again with Danny Welbeck.

Do you think Danny Welbeck has what it takes to become an Arsenal great?
