There has been so much talk about the DC Extended Universe and the path they have been taking, with fans around the world giving their views and opinions as to what they should be doing. Many feel that they should follow the same pattern as the Marvel Cinematic Universe and have the movies crossover with the TV shows, but Warner Bros. and DC do not want to do that, and are instead making separate universes.

 

This means that we are not going to get to see actor Stephen Amell appearing on the big screen in his role as Oliver Queen aka Green Arrow, with the character not expected to appear in the movie universe any time soon. This has led to talk of Stephen taking on a different role in the DC movie universe, with the actor himself revealing exactly which character he would like to play on the big screen.

 

Rather than wanting to take on the role of one of the available superheroes in the DC universe, Amell actually admitted that it would be fun to portray a villain, "I always get this question. I think all the superheroes are taken now. I’ll play The Riddler, okay? It’s a villain, but I like The Riddler." Now that would definitely make for some interesting casting.

 

Unfortunately for Stephen Amell and his legion of fans around the world, it seems highly unlikely that Warner Bros. and DC are going to cast him as one of the main Batman villains on the big screen. In fact, it would be highly unlikely that he will be cast in any of the DC comic book movies, due to his role as Green Arrow on the small screen. Sorry Stephen!
