Simon Pegg to play Captain Britain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

While there were a lot of main characters seemingly being killed off in Avengers: Infinity War, we all pretty much already know that most of them are not going to actually leave the Marvel Cinematic Universe, although we do also expect that there will be some casualties in the next Avengers movie, with new characters being brought into the fold.

There has been a lot of talk about which comic book characters the fans would love to see in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and there are plenty of people who would love to see Captain Britain being brought to the big screen. Fans have already been suggesting which actor should be cast as Captain Britain, if and when the character does join the MCU.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has also admitted that he could well bring Captain Britain into the Marvel Cinematic Universe and now, British actor Simon Pegg has admitted that he would love to play the role if it was possible. With that said, Simon did admit that he might be a little to old to play Captain Britain but he would still be up for appearing in the movie.

Pegg shared, "I mean, Captain Britain was this Marvel superhero that I loved growing up, ’cause he was the British member of that community. I even had a Captain Britain mask when I was a kid, but I fear I would probably be slightly too old now, but if they do have… If a Captain Britain movie comes about, they’re gonna need a British cast, so… I’ll be waiting."

It will be interesting to see when Captain Britain does finally appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and exactly which actor will land the role.
