One Direction vs. The Wanted
There are currently two British boybands making a name for themselves in the US and people have been trying to stir up a rivalry between the two of them. However, One Direction and The Wanted actually get on fine but it seems that Max George has had some comments taken out of context.
Max said, "Our song is No4 in the charts. Maybe when they have a song right next to us in the charts over there, they'll be competition. Whenever you see anything about One Direction their fans get a little bit angry. I guess because they're quite young."
George has since tweeted, “Getting so fed up of people trying to make rivalries between people who actually get on within this business!! #rant.” Also, earlier this year, Max admitted that he would not mind going for a night out with the One Direction lads.
He stated, “We’ve met them a few times. They’re nice. I’d like to see what they’re like after having a beer.” So it seems that there is no serious rivalry between One Direction and The Wanted, although we are sure there is definitely a little friendly competition between the two.
