One Direction: How made it - Louis Tomlinson
There are a lot of very big acts in the music at the moment and one of the biggest acts on the face of the planet right now, would have to be the British boyband One Direction, who have become superstars on a global scale over the past few years. It was not exactly a straight forward route for the five boys though, as Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, and Liam Payne all had their hearts set on becoming solo stars.
We recently took a look at how Liam Payne made it as a member of One Direction and today we are moving forward and taking a look at his bandmate Louis Tomlinson. While all four of the other One Direction members came close to missing out on music careers all together, with Niall Horan and Harry Styles both getting a no in their first auditions, while Zayn Malik walked out at bootcamp before returning, and Liam Payne was rejected on a previous series, Louis Tomlinson has had the easiest run of all.
Louis Tomlinson got a yes from all the judges in his first audition and, while he did not quite make it at bootcamp, he was put with the other boys to make One Direction a reality. The biggest issue that Louis faced on his journey in the early days, was probably the fact that he hurt his foot at judges houses and had to perform pretty much on one leg. Fortunately it was only the voice that really mattered.
Since finishing third on The X Factor in 2010, One Direction have gone on to become one of the biggest boybands of all time and, along with bandmate Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson has written most of the songs for the boyband. When the One Direction days do finally come to an end, we think Louis will definitely have a very successful career on his own.
