With the Justice League movie set to be released in 2015, there has been plenty of talk about which actors should appear as which characters. Last week we gave you a look at some of the stars being linked to the role of The Flash and we also brought you some of the potential candidates for the role of Wonder Woman. Now, we have decided to give you our three favourite picks for the role of Green Lantern in the Justice League movie.

Nathan Fillion

Nathan Fillion seems to be one of the fans favourites for the role of Green Lantern in the Justice League film, with many fans tipping him for the role. There is also a bit of history between Nathan and the DC superhero, as he has voiced the animated version of the character on a number of occasions. However, there are a few concerns regarding Nathan Fillion's age and whether he is too old to play Green Lantern.

Idris Elba

This one may be a little more controversial but Idris Elba is a genuine contender for the role. If they decide to move away from the Hal Jordan Green Lantern and decide to go with John Stewart for the Justice League movie, then Idris Elba could be the ideal choice. Idris has proven he is a strong enough actor to play such a big role and he would not be flustered by the enormity of the role. The problem with Idris Elba as Green Lantern in the Justice League film is that he already has ties to Marvel and the fans would prefer to stick with Hal Jordan.

Ryan Reynolds

It is most likely that Ryan Reynolds will continue to play Green Lantern for the Justice League movie. The main reason for sticking with Ryan Reynolds is just for the sake of continuity. With a stronger script and a better director, there is no reason why Ryan cannot deliver as Green Lantern with the rest of the DC superheroes surrounding him. The big thing letting Ryan Reynolds down in obviously the fact that the Green Lantern standalone movie was such a flop.
