There is no denying that Teenage Dream singer Katy Perry is one of the most beautiful women on the face of the Earth and would be able to have almost any man on the planet, so it is surprising then that she has been so unlucky in love in her life so far. Katy has had a number of failed relationships over the years but she will not let that put her off of finding true love one day.

Katy Perry met English comedian Russell Brand in the middle of 2009, when she filmed a cameo scene for his movie Get Him to the Greek and the couple soon began dating. It was then confirmed that Russell and Katy had got engaged on New Year's Eve 2009, with the couple tying the knot on October 23, 2010.

Unfortunately the Katy Perry and Russell Brand marriage did not last and it was announced that Russell had filed for divorce on December 30, 2011, with the couple eventually finalising their divorce in July 2012. However, it seems that Katy is no longer satisfied with the divorce and is now pushing for her marriage to Russell to get annulled.

The main reason that Katy Perry wants an annulment to happen, is so that she can marry in her church in the future, something that cannot happen with just a divorce. While Katy is said to be in no rush to get married again, it has been stated that she is eager to wipe the slate clean and have the opportunity to marry again in the future, should the opportunity arise.
