Juno Temple to join Carey Mulligan in Far From the Madding Crowd

A big screen adaptation of the hit Thomas Hardy novel Far From the Madding Crowd is being made, with Carey Mulligan already signed on to star in the movie. Carey will play the role of Bathsheba Everdene in Far From the Madding Crowd and it looks like she will be joined by some other top stars.

It has been reported that Juno Temple is in talks to join Carey Mulligan in Far From the Madding Crowd, as she is screen testing for the role of Fanny Robbin. It is claimed that producers at DNA Films, BBC Films and Fox Searchlight specifically wanted Juno Temple for the role.

While Juno has yet to officially sign on for Far From the Madding Crowd, it is believed that she is organising her shooting schedule on other projects, in order to be able to commit to the project. Meanwhile, Juno Temple is not the only name liked to a role in the movie.

It has also been revealed that Belgian actor Matthias Schoenaerts will play the role of Gabriel Oak, while Matthew Goode has been linked to the role of Troy. Far From the Madding Crowd will be directed by Thomas Vinterberg, with a release date planned for 2014.
