Jessica Chastain and Idris Elba to re-team for IT: Chapter 2

We have to admit that we were among those fans who absolutely loved the original IT miniseries, so we were a little unsure of the need for a new IT movie, but we have to admit that we thought it was great, as did millions of others around the world. Not only did it manage to do well at the box office but it was also a hit with fans and critics alike.

With IT being so successful, it was no real surprise when it was announced that a sequel was going to get made, with IT: Chapter 2 soon moving ahead with the scripting and screenplay. As well as that, the announcement of IT: Chapter 2 being made also led to the fans starting to suggest who they would like to see playing the adult versions of the kids in the first film.

With Jessica Chastain being one of the biggest and best red headed actresses in Hollywood, it is no surprise that she was quickly linked to playing the role of grown up Beverly Marsh in IT: Chapter 2. Jessica has admitted that she would love to join the cast of the movie and would definitely be interested in the project.

Meanwhile, British actor Idris Elba, who stars alongside Jessica Chastain in the new movie Molly's Game, has also been linked to playing the role of a grown up Mike Hanlon. After hearing that the fans were interested in seeing him in the film, Idris also admitted that it was something he would consider.

We cannot wait to see Jessica Chastain and Idris Elba together in Molly's Game, and we would definitely be fine with them starring in IT: Chapter 2, which is aiming for a September 2019 release date.
