Is a Destiny's Child reunion really going to happen?
There have been a lot of rumours about a lot of former bands getting back together in recent years but there are not many which would create more of a buzz around the world than a Destiny's Child reunion. There have been many rumours about a Destiny's Child reunion for many years now and it was most recently suggested that the girl group are going to get back together in 2018.
According to the recent rumours, the plan is for Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland to join Beyonce at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April 2018, where the Lemonade hitmaker is headlining. Now though, Kelly has been talking about these rumours and she has insisted that there is no truth in them and there are no plans for a Destiny's Child reunion any time soon.
Rowland was recently talking to People magazine about a possible Destiny's Child reunion, when she said, "I have no idea about any of that. I just asked a fan about that. They were like because it's just cool. They used the L word and said legends. I mean, I gladly accept that very much but it's nothing that we recently talked about."
While we are clearly not going to be getting a Destiny's Child reunion any time soon, Kelly Rowland did have some good news for her fans about her solo career, admitting, "2018 new music. What I'm excited about [fans] most to hear is probably stories I've never told on this album. I haven't released a record in five years." We guess that is better than nothing.
Were you looking forward to a potential Destiny's Child reunion?
