There have been a few people over the years, who have suggested that Julia Restoin Roitfeld was given a step up early in her career, since her mother is the former Fashion Stylist and Editor in Chief for Vogue France, Carine Roitfeld, and her father is Christian Restoin, the creator of the Equipment clothing line, which he brought to an end when Carine agreed to take the Vogue job in 2001.
