Gal Gadot credits Beyonce for landing Wonder Woman role

There are still a few people who are critical of Gal Gadot playing the role of Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman on the big screen but, one thing is for sure, she had to work hard to land the role and had to beat off some stiff competition. Gal has already impressed with her performance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, while we cannot wait to see what the solo Wonder Woman movie has to offer.

Gal Gadot has now been reminiscing about her audition for Wonder Woman, admitting that she had no idea that it was actually for the role of the DC superhero before she got there. Once learning what a huge role it was that she was auditioning for, Gal understandbly got very nervous but, fortunately for her, she had Beyonce on hand to help to calm her nerves and help her bag the role of a lifetime.

Gadot appears in a photoshoot for W magazine, and in the accompanying interview, she explained, "When I auditioned for Batman v Superman, I didn’t know it was for Wonder Woman. The director, Zack Snyder, asked me to do a camera test. That was torture."

She added, "They were looking at six or seven girls, and we were all in separate trailers and were told to stay inside until they called us. Waiting is my enemy Number One, and I was losing my mind. So, I decided to put on Beyoncé. Who runs the world? Girls! I just started to dance, and I let my anxiety go. Thank you, Beyoncé!"

The Wonder Woman movie is due to open on June 2 in both the US and the UK.
