It can sometimes feel that there is not a month that goes by, without one high-profile celebrity couple or another announcing their break up. Already this year, we have seen Hollywood couple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner getting divorced, as well as music stars Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale, while already this month we have heard that Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger are bringing their relationship to an end.
Fortunately though, there are a few rare occasions that a high-profile celebrity relationship does work and does last the test of time. Music superstar Enrique Iglesias and former tennis ace Anna Kournikova have been together for many years now and they are still going as strong as ever. Enrique has now opened up about their romance, admitting that he does not believe there is such thing as a perfect relationship and you have to work hard to make it work.
Iglesias was chatting to the British newspaper Metro, when he said of their relationship, "You go through your good times, you go through your bad times. It's a tough thing for me to believe there's such a thing as the perfect relationship. I don't think that exists."
Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova met way back in 2001 and it was not long before the romance rumours began to spread. The two soon confirmed that they were dating and, despite the number of marriage rumours that have popped up over the years, the couple have yet to tie the knot. Clearly getting married does not necessarily make a relationship stronger. Good luck for the future guys.
