The Marvel Cinematic Universe is absolutely huge and, while there were a number of deaths in Avengers: Infinity War (although we know they will not all stay dead) there are still plenty of Marvel characters which have not yet shown up, with many of them being rumoured to appearing in the near future. One such character is the very popular Captain Britain who has already had a number of actors being linked to the role.

Now, British actor Orlando Bloom has thrown his hat into the ring, admitting that he would love to appear in a comic book movie and if the chance should ever arise, he would definitely be up for taking on the role of Captain Britain. However, Orlando showed a complete lack of knowledge about the character, which has understandably led to the comic book fans not wanting him anywhere near the role of Captain Britain.

Bloom was talking about which of the Marvel characters who would love to possibly play, when he said, "I do read [Marvel Comics] a little bit. Who’s the British one? Captain Britain! There you go. Terrible costume, though. And you’ve also got Captain America so what you going to do? Captain Britain versus Captain America?"

With that said, there is currently no word of when we will actually see Captain Britain coming to the big screen, so it could well still be some time before we ever find out who will actually play Captain Britain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe but we are pretty sure that it will not be Orlando Bloom.
