Bob Harper talks The Biggest Loser kids involvement
The hit reality weight loss television series The Biggest Loser is back for its 14th Season and this time, there is going to be some focus on children losing weight. Three teenagers appeared in the season premiere in a bid to address the issues with childhood obesity in the US.
Childhood obesity in the US has more than tripled in the past 30 years and The Biggest Loser is hoping to make people more aware of the issue. Three teenagers, 16-year-old Sanjana "Sunny" Chandrasekar and 13-year-olds Lindsay Bravo and Noah "Biingo" Gray appeared on the show and Bob Harper has spoken about their involvement in the show.
Harper was talking to journalists at the 2013 Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour, when he said, “With the kids, we wanted to do exactly the opposite of when we work with the adults. We do no breaking down, just lifting up ... It's about getting kids to move around again and getting kids to be kids.”
The Biggest Loser season 14 premiere will take place in two parts, the first part was last night and the second is set to air tonight. The show welcomed back personal trainer Jillian Michael, who has returned after two seasons away from the show.
