Arnold Schwarzenegger to make guest appearance on Conan the Barbarian TV series
There have been many characters who have hit become hugely popular on the big screen over the years, with some of them being reinvented along the way in order to keep up with the times. While some of these characters have remained hugely popular and successful, there have been others who have failed to make the transition with the times.
Hollywood legend Arnold Schwarzenegger became a huge star after hitting the big screen as Conan in the hit movie Conan the Barbarian in 1982, before then going on to reprise the role for the movie Conan the Destroyer in 1984. There was an attempt to reinvent the franchise back in 2011, when Game of Thrones hunk Jason Momoa starred in the new Conan the Barbarian movie, but the film failed to impress the fans or the critics, so no sequel was given the green light.
Since then, there has been a lot of talk about Arnold Schwarzenegger returning to the role for the planned movie The Legend of Conan but that has been stuck in development for many years now, and it seems that it is not going to happen any time soon, as it has been claimed that there are now plans for a Conan the Barbarian TV series over at Amazon.
While it is going to be very interesting to see which actor eventually gets cast in the role of Conan for this new Conan the Barbarian TV series, we are actually hoping that the rumours are true and that we are also going to get to see Arnold Schwarzenegger appearing in a cameo role for the pilot episode, which could lead to a small, recurring role in the show.
We cannot wait to see this new Conan the Barbarian project hitting the small screen and we will keep you posted on its progress.
