When a movie is a huge success both at the box office and with the fans and critics, it does not take long for the fans to call for the movie to get a sequel and, while some of these projects do quickly give a green light to a sequel and have that sequel hitting the big screen within a couple of years, there are other projects which seem to wait a very long time before giving us the sequel we have all been waiting for.

 

Which brings us to the hit movie Mamma Mia!, which became a huge success back in 2008 and has been waiting for a sequel to hit the big screen ever since. Well, with this year being the 10th anniversary of that film, we are finally getting that sequel we have been waiting for, with Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again hitting the big screen later in the year, with the same cast making a return.

 

Hollywood beauty Amanda Seyfried played the role of Sophie in Mamma Mia! and she is back to reprise the role for Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, something which she had a lot of fun working on. Amanda loved every minute of reuniting with the cast from Mamma Mia! and she is very excited for Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again to finally hit the big screen.

 

As well as seeing the return of Amanda Seyfried, we are also going to see the return of the likes of Meryl Streep, Colin Firth, Pierce Brosnan, Stellan Skarsgard, and Dominic Cooper. Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again has been directed by Ol Parker and is set to hit the big screen on July 20 in the US, before then being released in the UK on July 27.
