There have been so many unique, inspiring or scandalous events that have taken place over the years, that Hollywood will always come calling in order to take those events, boost them up a bit and bring the world the big screen adaptation of what happened. We have had so many different movies that have been based on true events over the years and we have no doubt that there are going to be many more for many years to come.

 

Actress Alison Brie has been enjoying a steady rise in Hollywood, bagging herself some top acting gigs and she has once again landed a big role, with the stunning star set to appear in the new Steven Spielberg movie The Post. As you could probably guess from what we have already said, The Post is a new Hollywood movie which has been inspired by true events and it will be interesting to see how these events play out on the big screen.

 

For those of you who are not familiar with exactly what events The Post will bring us, the new film has been official described as, "A cover-up that spanned four U.S. Presidents pushed the country's first female newspaper publisher and a hard-driving editor to join an unprecedented battle between journalist and government. Inspired by true events."

 

While we are big fans of Alison Brie and cannot wait to see her in the new movie, The Post cast also includes such top names as Jesse Plemons, Bruce Greenwood, Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks, and Sarah Paulson, to name just a few. As we already mentioned, The Post has been directed by Steven Spielberg, with the screenplay being developed by Liz Hannah and Josh Singer, and a release date set for January 12, 2018 in the US and January 19, 2018 in the UK.
